Tazar 4.5G Injection is an antibiotic used in hospital to treat serious bacterial infections of the lungs, abdomen, urinary tract and bloodstream, and to help prevent infection after major surgery.
It contains piperacillin, which stops bacteria growing, and tazobactam, which protects the antibiotic from the enzymes bacteria use to resist it.
It is given as an infusion into a vein by a healthcare professional, and the full course is completed.
Tell your doctor about any allergy to penicillin or other antibiotics, or kidney problems, before use. Report a rash, swelling or severe diarrhoea.
