Tavera-M Tablet is a medicine used to treat severe abdominal pain, muscle cramps, and spastic pain. It is commonly prescribed for painful menstrual periods (dysmenorrhea), stomach griping, and pain caused by functional bowel disorders, kidney stones, or gallbladder spasms.
It contains drotaverine and mefenamic acid. Take it with food as prescribed to help protect your stomach lining. Take it for short-term symptom relief as directed by your doctor.
Applying a warm compress to the abdomen, staying hydrated, and resting can help ease muscle cramps and abdominal pain alongside medication.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers, asthma, severe liver or kidney disease, or bleeding disorders. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by your doctor. Contact your doctor if you notice persistent stomach pain, dark stools, or nausea.
