Szn 1000 MG Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Managing rheumatoid arthritis

• Controlling symptoms of ulcerative colitis

• Treating inflammatory bowel conditions

• Managing Crohn's disease

• Reducing inflammation in psoriatic arthritis

• Modifying autoimmune disease progression

• Decreasing joint pain and swelling

• Controlling intestinal tract inflammation

• Reducing chronic inflammatory responses

• Alleviating symptoms of chronic inflammatory conditions

Follow these instructions while taking Szn 1000 MG Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, break or chew the tablet.

• You may take this medicine with or after meals to reduce stomach discomfort.

• Maintain consistent timing of doses each day.

• Drink plenty of fluids (at least 8 glasses daily) while taking this medicine.

• Continue taking the medicine for the full prescribed duration, even if you feel better.

• Consult your doctor if you have any questions about using this medicine.

Szn 1000 MG Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Szn 1000 MG Tablet 10 contains sulfasalazine (1000 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Anti-inflammatory action: Sulfasalazine reduces inflammation throughout the body, particularly in the intestines and joints, by blocking substances called prostaglandins that cause pain and swelling.

• Immune system modulation: The medicine affects your immune system by reducing its overactivity in conditions where the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissues.

• Intestinal activity: In the large intestine, bacteria break down sulfasalazine into two components: sulfapyridine and 5-aminosalicylic acid (5-ASA). The 5-ASA component works directly on the intestinal lining to reduce inflammation.

• Joint protection: By modifying immune responses and inhibiting inflammatory mediators in the body, sulfasalazine helps slow down joint damage in rheumatoid arthritis and related conditions.

• Store Szn 1000 MG Tablet 10 at room temperature below 25°C.

• Keep in original packaging away from moisture and direct sunlight.

• Store out of children's reach.

• Do not use beyond the expiry date printed on the package.

• For inflammatory bowel conditions: Maintain adequate fluid intake (at least 8 glasses of water daily) to support kidney function and reduce the risk of kidney-related side effects.

• For rheumatoid arthritis: Include anti-inflammatory foods in your diet, such as fatty fish, olive oil, and colourful fruits and vegetables, to complement the medicine's action on joint inflammation.
