Stamlo D Tablet 15

Stamlo D Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension), chronic stable angina, and vasospastic angina (chest pain due to arterial spasms). It is also helpful in reducing fluid retention (oedema) caused by heart failure, liver cirrhosis, kidney disorders, and corticosteroid or estrogen therapy.

Here are some instructions on how to take Stamlo D Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Don't chew or crush it.
• You can take this medicine with or without food.
• Always take your medicine at the same time every day for best results.
• Always consult your doctor before changing your dosage or stopping this medicine.

Stamlo D Tablet is taken orally.

Stamlo D Tablet contains two active components:

• Amlodipine (5 mg): This ingredient belongs to a class of medicines known as dihydropyridine calcium channel blockers. It works by inhibiting the movement of calcium ions into the muscles of your heart and blood vessels. This leads to a relaxing effect on the blood vessels, which reduces their resistance and lowers your blood pressure.

• Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg): This component is a type of diuretic, often referred to as a water pill. It functions by affecting the kidneys' ability to reabsorb certain electrolytes like sodium and chloride. By blocking this reabsorption process, it promotes increased excretion of water and salts from the body, which in turn helps reduce blood volume and lower blood pressure.

• Store Stamlo D Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 15°C to 30°C.

• Keep it in a dry place, away from excessive heat and direct sunlight.

• Always keep the medicine out of reach of children.

• Make sure to use the tablet before its expiry date.

• Since hypertension is managed by Stamlo D Tablet, aim to maintain a lowsodium diet. This includes limiting your intake of processed foods and adding less salt while cooking.

• Regular physical activity is also beneficial. Try to include at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise, like brisk walking or cycling, into your daily routine.
