Amlovas H Tablet is used to control high blood pressure in adults, including those not adequately managed on a single medicine, helping to lower the long-term risk of stroke, heart attack and kidney problems.

Amlovas H Tablet contains two active ingredients that work in tandem:

By doing so, it relaxes and widens your blood vessels, which reduces the resistance they offer to blood flow and subsequently lowers your blood pressure.

• Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg): This component belongs to a class of medicines known as thiazide diuretics. They act on your kidneys to increase the excretion of sodium, chloride, and water from your body. With less fluid in your system, your blood volume decreases and so does your blood pressure. Furthermore, hydrochlorothiazide enhances the blood-pressure-lowering effect of amlodipine.
