SOMPRAZ 80 TABLET 10 may interact with the following medicines:

• Antifungal medicines (Ketoconazole, Itraconazole): Taking these medicines together may reduce antifungal absorption because esomeprazole lowers stomach acidity. Your doctor may adjust treatment or monitor response if required.
• Antiplatelet medicines (Clopidogrel): Concurrent use may reduce the activation and effectiveness of clopidogrel in some patients. Your doctor may advise an alternative acid-reducing medicine if necessary.
• Anticoagulant medicines (Warfarin): Taking these medicines together may increase the risk of bleeding complications in susceptible patients. Monitoring of clotting parameters may be required during treatment.
• Antiretroviral medicines (Atazanavir): Concurrent use may reduce antiretroviral absorption and decrease treatment effectiveness. Combined use may be avoided in some patients.
• Immunosuppressant medicines (Methotrexate): High-dose methotrexate taken together with esomeprazole may increase methotrexate levels and raise the risk of toxicity. Your doctor may advise a temporary adjustment or interruption of esomeprazole treatment during high-dose methotrexate therapy.

SOMPRAZ 80 TABLET 10 should be used with caution if you have:

• Osteoporosis or fracture risk: Long-term proton pump inhibitor use may increase the risk of bone fractures in susceptible patients, especially older adults.
• Vitamin B12 deficiency: Prolonged reduction of stomach acid may decrease vitamin B12 absorption and worsen deficiency in susceptible patients.
• Low magnesium levels (hypomagnesaemia): Long-term use may worsen low magnesium levels and increase the risk of muscle cramps, weakness, or irregular heartbeat.
• Severe diarrhoeal illness or intestinal infection: Proton pump inhibitors may increase susceptibility to certain gastrointestinal infections in some patients.

The daily dose of SOMPRAZ 80 TABLET 10 should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage may vary depending on the severity of acid-related symptoms, ulcer condition, and response to treatment. Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

Overdose of SOMPRAZ 80 TABLET 10 may cause confusion, drowsiness, blurred vision, rapid heartbeat, nausea, or abdominal discomfort. Seek immediate medical attention if an accidental overdose occurs.

If you forget to take a dose of SOMPRAZ 80 TABLET 10, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular schedule. Do not take extra doses to compensate for the missed dose.
