CompositionSinarest LP New Tablet is used to relieve symptoms of the common cold and allergies, such as a blocked or runny nose, sneezing, fever, headache and body ache. It is a combination medicine containing levocetirizine (an antihistamine), phenylephrine (a nasal decongestant) and paracetamol (a pain reliever and fever reducer).
This medicine is also used to ease the blocked nose, pain and fever that come with allergic rhinitis, sinusitis and throat infections. Swallow the tablet with water, with or without food. Take it in the dose and for the duration prescribed by your doctor, and do not use it for longer than advised.
Resting, drinking warm fluids and inhaling steam can help relieve a blocked nose. Avoiding dust, smoke and other known allergy triggers may also reduce symptoms.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, difficulty passing urine, or liver or kidney disease, and about other medicines you take. Do not take other medicines containing paracetamol at the same time, as too much can harm the liver. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It may cause drowsiness, so avoid driving and alcohol if affected. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
