Composition

Levocetirizine (2.5 Mg) + Paracetamol/acetaminophen (500 Mg) + Phenylephrine (10 Mg)

Sinarest LP New Tablet is used to relieve symptoms of allergies associated with conditions like rhinitis, sinusitis, tonsillitis, and pharyngitis. This combination includes an antihistamine (levocetirizine), a decongestant (phenylephrine), and an analgesic/antipyretic (paracetamol), helping reduce sneezing, nasal congestion, pain, and fever related to allergic or inflammatory conditions.

Sinarest LP New Tablet is used to treat allergies associated with rhinitis, sinusitis, tonsillitis, and pharyngitis. It helps alleviate inflammation and swelling of the nasal passages, sinuses, and throat, providing relief from associated discomfort and improving respiratory comfort.

Take the Tablet with one whole glass of water.
Swallow the tablet as a whole; do not crush or chew it.
Take the Tablet at fixed times each day to maintain a consistent level of medication.

Sinarest LP Tablet should be taken orally.

Sinarest LP New Tablet may lead to common side effects like headache, vomiting, diarrhoea, and sleepiness. If these effects continue or worsen, seek medical guidance for proper management.

Management Of Side Effects:

Most of the side effects are temporary and generally harmless, and get resolved by discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

Sinarest LP Tablet contains the following components:

Levocetirizine (2.5 mg): It is an antihistamine that works by blocking the action of the effects of histamine (chemical messenger). Histamine causes itching, runny nose, sneezing, and runny nose.
Phenylephrine (10 mg): It is a nasal decongestant that works on alpha receptors and causes constriction of blood vessels present in the nasal passage and other passages in the body. It decreases the airflow resistance in the nose and helps reduce nose blockage.
Paracetamol (500 mg): It is an antipyretic and analgesic that operates by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins in the body that are involved in transmitting pain signals to the brain. This helps reduce pain and fever.

Pregnancy

There are no adequate studies on pregnant women using Sinarest LP Tablet. Hence, your doctor will decide whether to prescribe this medicine.

Breastfeeding

As Sinarest LP Tablet is secreted in breast milk, It is not recommended for breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor for advice.

Alcohol

The consumption of alcohol along with the Sinarest LP Tablet may lead to further worsening of the medicine side-effects. Consult your doctor before use.

Liver

Sinarest LP Tablet is not indicated for patients with liver disorders. Consult your doctor before use.

Kidney

Allergy

If you are allergic to levocetirizine, paracetamol, phenylephrine, or any of the constituents of the Sinarest LP Tablet, do not use it. Consult your doctor before use & advice.

Children

The Sinarest LP Tablet is not recommended in children below 6 years of age. It is best to consult a child’s doctor before using this medicine in children.

Older Patients

Be cautious about using Sinarest LP Tablet in older patients with liver & kidney disorders. Consult your doctor before use and for advice.

Drug-Drug Interactions

Sinarest LP Tablet can interact with medicines, including:

Tricyclic antidepressants like amitriptyline, nortriptyline & desipramine upon interacting with this medicine may lead to the increased effect of tricyclic antidepressants.
Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO inhibitors) like isocarboxazid, selegiline, and tranylcypromine may interact with this medicine and cause a rise in blood pressure.
Beta-blocking agents like metoprolol & bisoprolol, when taken with this tablet, will result in reduced efficacy of beta-blockers.
Anti-hypertensive medicines like amlodipine, nifedipine, nicardipine, and verapamil may increase blood pressure when taken along with this medicine.
Anticoagulant drugs like warfarin, upon interaction with this tablet, lead to an increase in time required for clot formation.
Gastric-emptying enhancing drugs like metoclopramide may enhance the absorption of this medicine.
Anticonvulsants like carbamazepine and lamotrigine concomitant usage with this medicine may increase the risk of liver toxicity.
Antilipidemics like cholestyramine reduces the absorption of this tablet.
Uric acid lowering agents such as probenecid reduces the absorption of this medicine.
Anti-HIV medications such as zidovudine increase the risk of neutropenia (low count of neutrophils) when taken along with this tablet.
Pain reducing medicines in the class of narcotic analgesics such as codeine reduces the absorption of this medicine.

Drug-Disease Interactions

Sinarest LP can interact with diseases, including:

Liver diseases: It may further worsen upon taking this tablet.
Kidney diseases: These diseases may worsen upon taking this medicine.
Overactive thyroid: This condition may worsen upon taking this tablet.
High blood pressure: This condition may worsen upon taking this medicine.
Heart diseases: This tablet may rarely cause palpitations, tachycardia, or reflex bradycardia that can worsen the existing condition.

Daily Dose

The daily dose of the Sinarest LP Tablet should be taken as your doctor prescribes. The dosage may change based on individual factors such as the severity of the condition and response to treatment. It is essential to follow the prescribed dosage and not exceed it without consulting your doctor.

Over Dose

If you or someone else takes an excessive amount of Sinarest LP Tablet by accident, it is essential to get immediate medical attention from your doctor or nearby hospital. The overdose symptoms of this tablet include fever, flushing, dilated pupils, rapid pulse, tingling in arms and pulse, vomiting, stomach pain, and nausea.

Missed Dose

If you forget to take the Sinarest LP Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If the time for the next dosage is close, skipping the missed one and resuming your regular dosage pattern is recommended. Only increase your dosage after consulting your doctor.

Sinarest LP Tablet should be stored below 30°Celsius.

Protect the medicine from excessive light and moisture.

Limit exposure to irritants such as smoke, strong odours, and pollutants, as they can trigger or worsen respiratory symptoms.
