It combines silodosin, an alpha-blocker that relaxes the muscle at the bladder outlet to ease urine flow, and dutasteride, which lowers the hormone that makes the prostate grow. Take it daily with food as prescribed; it may take several months to feel the full benefit.
Going to the toilet before long journeys, limiting fluids in the evening, and cutting down on caffeine and alcohol can help with urinary symptoms alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any liver problems before starting, and about other medicines you take. Stand up slowly, as it can lower blood pressure. The capsules should not be handled by women who are or may become pregnant. Report fainting, changes in sexual function, or breast tenderness or lumps.
