Doxinate 24 Tablet is used for the management of nausea and vomiting in pregnant women (NVP), commonly known as morning sickness. It provides relief from persistent NVP symptoms, except for severe forms like hyperemesis gravidarum, and also supplements vitamin B6 to ensure nutritional balance during pregnancy.

Here's how you should take Doxinate 24 Tablet :

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, without crushing, chewing, or splitting it.

• It is recommended to take this medicine on an empty stomach.

• The medicine should be taken at bedtime for optimal effect.

• For sustained symptom control, it should be taken daily, not just when you feel nauseous or vomit.

Doxinate 24 Tablet contains two active components:

• Doxylamine (20 mg): This antihistamine works by targeting a region in your brain called the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ), which controls nausea and vomiting reflexes. By blocking certain chemical messengers in CTZ, doxylamine prevents the stimulation of the vomiting centre in your brain, reducing feelings of nausea and frequency of vomiting.

• Vitamin B6 / Pyridoxine (20 mg): This vitamin acts as a dietary supplement to cover any nutritional deficiencies during pregnancy, helping with healthy development of nerves, skin, and red blood cells. Pyridoxine may also have an independent effect in reducing nausea and vomiting symptoms; however, the precise way it works isn't completely understood.
