Clofert 50 Tablet is used to treat infertility in women by helping to bring on ovulation (the release of an egg). It is used in women with irregular cycles or polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), where ovulation does not happen regularly.
It belongs to a group of medicines called selective oestrogen receptor modulators (SERMs). It works by prompting the body to release the hormones needed to stimulate the ovaries and trigger ovulation, which increases the chances of conceiving. It is taken on specific days of the cycle as prescribed and should only be used under close medical supervision.
Some general measures can help alongside this medicine. These include keeping track of your cycle, attending the monitoring appointments your doctor arranges, and following advice on the timing of treatment.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about your full medical history and any other medicines you take. Report sudden stomach swelling or pain, or visual disturbances such as blurred vision, to your doctor straight away, as these need prompt review. Use it only under close medical supervision, and attend the monitoring appointments your doctor arranges.
