Sebifin Cream is used to manage conditions like tinea corporis (ringworm), tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea pedis (athlete's foot), and various localized fungal skin infections caused by dermatophytes. It also helps address pityriasis versicolor, a fungal infection that causes discolored patches on the skin.

Here's how you should apply Sebifin Cream:

• Start by cleaning and thoroughly drying the area affected by the fungal infection.

• Apply a thin layer of Sebifin Cream to the affected skin and the surrounding area, as per your doctor's advice.

• Ensure the cream does not come into contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth.

• After application, wash your hands thoroughly unless they are in the area being treated.

• For specific instructions about usage and duration, consult your doctor.

Sebifin Cream is applied topically.

Sebifin Cream contains Terbinafine Hydrochloride (1%), which works on the body as follows:

• Inhibits squalene epoxidase: Terbinafine Hydrochloride blocks an enzyme called squalene epoxidase in fungi. This enzyme is vital for creating ergosterol, a key component of the fungal cell membrane.

• Disrupts ergosterol synthesis: By blocking the activity of squalene epoxidase, Terbinafine Hydrochloride effectively disrupts the production of ergosterol. This leads to a compromise in the integrity of the fungal cell membrane, resulting in fungal cell death and resolution of the infection.

• Keep Sebifin Cream at room temperature, not exceeding 30°C.

• Store in a dry place and avoid direct heat and moisture.

• Seal the tube tightly after each use to protect the cream's quality.

• Ensure it's out of children's reach.

• Maintain good personal hygiene to prevent the spread of fungal infections. Regularly clean and dry areas prone to fungal growth, such as feet and groin area.

• Wear breathable fabrics. Tight and non-breathable clothing can create a moist environment conducive to fungi, worsening conditions like tinea infections (ringworm, jock itch, athlete's foot) managed by Sebifin Cream.
