Terbest Cream is used to treat fungal skin infections by killing the fungi causing the infection.

Primary uses of Terbest Cream are:

• Skin Fungal Infections: Treats ringworm, athlete's foot, and jock itch and eases itching and redness.
• Certain Cases of Pityriasis Versicolor: Clears the infection and helps even out skin discolouration.

• Ensure the affected skin area is clean and dry before application.

• Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected area and gently massage it in until fully absorbed.

• If your hands are not the area being affected, wash them thoroughly after applying the cream.

Terbest Cream is applied topically.

Terbest Cream contains terbinafine hydrochloride (1%) as the active ingredient. It works on the skin in the following manner:

• Terbinafine hydrochloride halts an enzyme known as squalene epoxidase in fungi. This enzyme is necessary for producing ergosterol, a vital component of the fungal cell membrane.

• By inhibiting squalene epoxidase and consequently reducing ergosterol synthesis, the medicine disrupts the formation of the fungal cell membrane. This action effectively stops the growth and spread of the fungal infection.

• Keep Terbest Cream at room temperature, ideally below 30 degrees Celsius.

• Store it away from direct sunlight and excess moisture.

• Ensure the cream is not exposed to extreme heat.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Remember to use the medicine before the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• For fungal skin infections, it's beneficial to maintain good hygiene practices. Regularly clean and thoroughly dry the skin areas prone to fungal infections, especially feet, groin, and underarms.
