Rozucor 5 Tablet is used to treat high cholesterol (dyslipidaemia) in adults. It is a single-ingredient statin containing rosuvastatin.
It lowers harmful LDL cholesterol and triglycerides, raises HDL cholesterol, slows fatty plaque build-up and lowers the risk of heart attack and stroke. Take it with or without food, at a regular time, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and keep taking it even when your cholesterol looks normal.
Eat less saturated fat by cutting down on fried food, ghee and butter, add vegetables, dal and whole grains, and stay physically active.
Do not use this medicine in pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Before starting, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Contact your doctor straight away about unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, especially with fever or dark urine. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
