Rosuvas Ez 10 Tablet 10

Rosuvas EZ 10 Tablet is used to treat hypercholesterolemia, mixed dyslipidemia, and homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH). It works to lower high levels of triglycerides and apolipoprotein B, and helps to reduce the risk of coronary heart disease events.

• Swallow the tablet whole with water.

• Do not crush, chew or split the tablet.

• Continue taking this medicine as part of your long-term medication plan, unless advised otherwise by your doctor. Always consult your doctor for specific advice on dosage and duration.

Rosuvas EZ 10 Tablet is taken orally.

Rosuvas EZ 10 Tablet consists of two active ingredients:

• Ezetimibe (10 mg): This component works at the small intestine's brush border, selectively inhibiting dietary and biliary cholesterol absorption. This action doesn't affect the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, bile acids, or triglycerides. As a result, less cholesterol reaches the liver from the intestine which reduces cholesterol stores in the liver and enhances cholesterol clearance from the bloodstream.

• Rosuvastatin (10 mg): This ingredient primarily functions in the liver where it inhibits an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase that plays a crucial role in cholesterol production. By doing so, rosuvastatin increases cell-surface LDL receptors in the liver which promotes better LDL uptake and breakdown. It also reduces hepatic synthesis of very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL), thereby decreasing total VLDL and LDL particles.

• Store your Rosuvas EZ 10 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine in its original container, tightly closed to protect it from light and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Ensure you use the tablet before its expiry date.
