Ranitidine (150 Mg)

Retiva Tablet 30 is used to treat and prevent conditions caused by excessive stomach acid, including stomach ulcers, duodenal ulcers, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and heartburn. It helps relieve symptoms such as acid indigestion, burning pain in the chest, and upper stomach discomfort.

It contains ranitidine, an H2-receptor antagonist medicine. Take this tablet with or without food as prescribed by your doctor. Continue taking it for the full duration prescribed, even if you feel better early, to allow full healing of the digestive tract.

Lifestyle modifications help support recovery from acid-related stomach problems. These include avoiding spicy, greasy, or acidic foods, limiting caffeine and alcohol, eating smaller meals, and not lying down immediately after eating.

Retiva Tablet 30 is used to manage conditions associated with excess acid production in the stomach and upper digestive tract.

Uses of Retiva Tablet 30 are:

Stomach and Duodenal Ulcers: Treats and prevents painful ulcers in the stomach and upper intestine.
GERD and Heartburn: Relieves acid reflux and burning chest discomfort caused by acid backflow.
Hypersecretory Conditions: Controls excessive stomach acid production in conditions like Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

You should take Retiva Tablet 30 in the following way:

Avoid crushing, breaking, or chewing the tablet. Just swallow as it is with a whole glass of water.
Take the medication as directed at same time each day for better results.
It is a good idea to take it with some food. This can help your body absorb the medicine better.

Pregnant women should not take this tablet until prescribed by a doctor. Consult your doctor before taking this tablet during pregnancy.

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding mothers should not take this tablet. It passes to the infant through breast milk. Before taking this tablet while breastfeeding, it is recommended to consult your doctor.

Alcohol

Alcohol is not recommended while taking Retiva Tablet 30. Alcohol can add to drowsiness and dizziness due to this tablet. It can also worsen the side effects of this tablet.

Liver

Kidney

Use In Driving And Operating Machinery

Allergy

Children

Antifungals such as ketoconazole. This tablet can reduce the absorption of antifungals in the body.
Anticancer medications such as gefitinib. This tablet can reduce the absorption of anticancer medications in the body.
HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection medications such as delavirdine and atazanavir. The absorption of these medications may be impaired on the concomitant use of Retiva Tablet 30.
Anticoagulants such as warfarin. The concomitant use of anticoagulants with this tablet can result in altered prothrombin time.
Antiarrhythmics such as procainamide. This tablet can result in increased blood concentration of this medicine.

Retiva Tablet 30 can interact with certain medical conditions, including:

Porphyria (a rare blood disease): This tablet may trigger acute porphyric attacks in patients with acute porphyria.

Daily Dose

The daily dose of this tablet should be taken as your doctor prescribes. The dosage may change based on individual factors such as age, the condition's severity, and treatment response.

Over Dose
