CompositionRazo IT Capsule is used to manage acid reflux (GERD) and indigestion, easing heartburn, bloating, early fullness and nausea after meals. It is a combination medicine containing rabeprazole 20mg, a proton pump inhibitor that lowers stomach acid, and itopride 150mg in a prolonged-release form, a prokinetic that helps the stomach empty more smoothly.
This medicine is also used for functional dyspepsia (ongoing indigestion without a clear cause) and to help heal acid damage to the food pipe. Swallow the capsule whole before breakfast, without crushing or chewing, as prescribed.
Eating smaller meals, avoiding spicy, fatty and fried food, limiting tea, coffee and alcohol, keeping a healthy weight and not lying down soon after eating can reduce reflux.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, bleeding or a blockage in the stomach or bowel, low magnesium, or osteoporosis, and about other medicines you take. Long-term use of acid-reducing medicines can lower magnesium and vitamin B12 and weaken bones, so your doctor will review ongoing treatment. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Seek medical help for black stools, vomiting of blood, difficulty swallowing, persistent diarrhoea or unexplained weight loss. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
