R-Cinex 600 Tablet is used in the treatment of tuberculosis. It helps prevent the growth and spread of tuberculosis bacteria in the body, supports effective disease control, and reduces the risk of drug resistance when taken as part of a prescribed anti-tuberculosis treatment regimen.
Directions for Use of R Cinex 600/300 MG Tablet 3
- Swallow the R-Cinex 600 Tablet whole with a glass of water.
- Do not crush or chew the tablet, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
- Do not change your tablet dose or take them more often than prescribed.
Route of Administration
R-Cinex 600 Tablet is taken orally.

R-Cinex 600 Tablet may cause side effects such as diarrhoea, stomach pain, numbness, difficulty sleeping, dizziness, weakness, and mild neurological discomfort during the course of treatment.
Managing the Side Effects:
Most of the above-mentioned side effects resolve on discontinuation of the tablet and are temporary and in majority of the cases, do not require medical attention. How R Cinex 600/300 MG Tablet 3 Works?
R-Cinex 600 Tablet contain the following ingredients:
- Rifampicin (600 mg): It is an antibiotic that inhibits a specific enzyme the tuberculosis bacteria need to produce essential proteins. By blocking the enzyme, rifampicin prevents the bacteria from multiplying and making its survival difficult in the body. This action helps to reduce the bacterial load, control the infection, and support the body's natural defence mechanisms in fighting against tuberculosis.
- Isoniazid (300 mg): It is also an antibiotic that specifically targets and kills the bacteria causing tuberculosis. It interferes with the bacteria's ability to build their cell walls, ultimately leading to death. The process allows the immune system to clear the infection effectively.
Safety Measures & Warnings
Pregnancy
R-Cinex 600 Tablet should be taken cautiously by pregnant women. Your doctor will prescribe this medicine only if the potential benefits and risks of the tuberculosis therapy.
Breastfeeding
R-Cinex 600 Tablet is probably safe to take while breastfeeding. This medicine passes into the breastmilk but does not harm the breastfed infants. Still, it is better to consult your doctor before taking this tablet.
Alcohol
It is not recommended to consume alcohol while taking the R-Cinex 600 Tablet. Alcohol can increase the risk of liver damage.
Liver

- Antiepileptic medications such as phenytoin, carbamazepine and valproate. R-Cinex 600 Tablet is known to slow the metabolism of antiepileptic medications and increase its blood concentration.
- Antidiabetics such as glibenclamide. It may alter the effectiveness of antidiabetics.
- Antifungals such as terbinafine, ketoconazole, and fluconazole. Their concomitant use with R-Cinex 600 Tablet decreases the blood concentration of these medicines.
- Antacids containing aluminium hydroxide. Their concomitant intake may reduce the absorption of R-Cinex 600 Tablet.
- Anti-gout medications such as probenecid. It can increase the blood level of R-Cinex 600 Tablet.
- Antibiotics such as chloramphenicol and clarithromycin. It can increase the blood level of this tablet.
- Anticoagulants such as warfarin. This tablet may alter the safety and effectiveness of warfarin.
- Analgesics and antipyretics such as paracetamol/acetaminophen. Their concomitant use can cause paracetamol/acetaminophen toxicity.
- Antianxiety medications such as diazepam. This tablet may alter the safety and effectiveness of diazepam.
- Thyroid medications. This tablet may alter the safety and effectiveness of thyroid medications.
- Oral contraceptive pill or other hormonal contraceptives. This tablet may alter the safety and effectiveness of oral contraceptives.
- Opioids like codeine and morphine. This tablet may alter the safety and effectiveness of these medications.
Drug-Food Interactions
R-Cinex 600 Tablet can interact with foods containing tyramine or histamine, such as:
- Cheese
- Fish
- Red wine
Drug-Disease Interactions
R-Cinex 600 Tablet can interact with diseases, including:
- Diabetes: This should be used with caution in patients with a history of diabetes mellitus, as diabetes management may be more difficult.
- Liver problems and disease: This tablet may cause liver complications, including jaundice and occasionally severe or fatal hepatitis.
