Pregaba M 75 Capsule is a nerve pain medicine used to treat neuropathic pain, including pain linked to diabetes, shingles and spinal cord injury. It is a combination medicine containing pregabalin (calms overactive nerve signals) and methylcobalamin (an active form of vitamin B12 that supports nerve health), and belongs to a class of medicines called gabapentinoid anticonvulsants combined with a vitamin B12.
This medicine works by reducing the release of pain messengers from overactive nerve cells, while methylcobalamin helps repair and protect the covering of damaged nerves. It is also used for nerve damage symptoms such as burning, tingling and numbness. Swallow the capsule whole with water, at the same time each day, in the dose and for the duration your doctor prescribes.
Good blood sugar control, regular gentle exercise and a balanced diet can help ease nerve symptoms alongside this medicine. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you, and limit alcohol.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have kidney problems, heart problems, a history of substance or alcohol misuse, or are taking other medicines that cause drowsiness, such as sleeping tablets or opioid painkillers. Seek urgent help for swelling of the face or lips, or for thoughts of self-harm or unusual mood changes.
