Prasita 10mg Tablet is used to help prevent blood clots in people with heart disease. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing prasugrel, and belongs to a group of medicines called antiplatelets, which reduce the tendency of platelets to stick together and form clots.
It is commonly used after a heart attack or unstable angina, or after a procedure to open the heart's arteries such as stenting, to reduce the risk of further clot-related events. Take it once daily as prescribed, usually together with aspirin.
Taking care to avoid injuries and reporting any unusual bruising or bleeding can support safe treatment alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any bleeding problems, previous stroke or mini-stroke, or planned surgery or dental work. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so, as stopping early can raise the risk of a clot.
