POLIEXAR CAPSULE 10 is used to manage the pain and inflammation of osteoarthritis of the hip and knee in adults, with benefits building gradually over several weeks.

Uses of POLIEXAR CAPSULE 10 are:

• Osteoarthritis: Manages joint pain and inflammation in hip and knee osteoarthritis.

Follow these instructions while taking POLIEXAR CAPSULE 10:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not open, crush, or chew the capsule.

• Take this medicine with food to reduce stomach upset.

POLIEXAR CAPSULE 10 is taken orally.

POLIEXAR CAPSULE 10 contains polmacoxib (2 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Selective COX-2 Inhibition: Polmacoxib specifically targets and blocks the COX-2 enzyme in your body, which is responsible for producing inflammatory substances called prostaglandins.

• Prostaglandin Reduction: By blocking the COX-2 enzyme, polmacoxib decreases the production of prostaglandins at sites of inflammation, helping to reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation in affected joints.

• Gastrointestinal Protection: Unlike traditional NSAIDs that block both COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes, polmacoxib's selective action on COX-2 means it has less effect on the protective COX-1 enzyme in the stomach lining, potentially reducing the risk of stomach irritation.

• Store at room temperature (not exceeding 30°C).

• Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture.
