Pirox 0.5 Gel is used to relieve localised pain, swelling and stiffness in muscles and joints, and it helps by reducing the chemicals that cause pain and inflammation where the gel is applied.

Uses of Pirox 0.5 Gel are:

• Arthritis pain: Helps relieve pain, swelling and stiffness associated with osteoarthritis.
• Muscle and joint pain: Helps relieve pain and inflammation associated with sprains, strains and tendinitis.
• Soft tissue injuries: Helps reduce pain and swelling from minor soft tissue injuries.

To use Pirox Gel appropriately, follow these instructions:

• Ensure the area where you want to apply the gel is clean and dry.

• Apply a thin layer of the gel to the affected area.

• Gently rub the gel into your skin until it is fully absorbed.

• After applying, wash your hands thoroughly unless they are in the area being treated.

Pirox Gel contains piroxicam (0.5 %), which works on the body as follows:

By reducing prostaglandin production at the site of application, Piroxicam helps reduce pain, swelling, and stiffness in the affected joints or muscles.

• Store Pirox Gel at room temperature, ideally below 30 degrees Celsius.

• Ensure it's kept away from excessive heat and moisture.

• Keep the tube tightly closed when not in use to prevent air exposure.

• Always keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children.

• Make sure to use Pirox Gel before the expiry date printed on the package.
