Pioz-7.5 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults by helping to control blood sugar levels. Good blood sugar control helps lower the risk of long-term diabetes complications.
It contains pioglitazone, which belongs to a group of medicines called thiazolidinediones. It can be taken with or without food. Take it as prescribed, usually alongside diet, exercise, and sometimes other diabetes medicines.
Diet and lifestyle remain important while taking this medicine. Regular balanced meals, controlled carbohydrate intake, staying active, and keeping to a healthy weight all help keep blood sugar steady.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have heart failure, a history of bladder cancer or bladder problems, liver disease, or a high risk of fractures, as pioglitazone can affect these. Tell your doctor about any swelling, sudden weight gain, breathlessness, or blood in the urine. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
