CompositionPioz 7.5 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults, helping control blood sugar and lowering the long-term risk of complications, alongside diet and exercise.
It contains pioglitazone, a thiazolidinedione. It works by improving how the body responds to its own insulin. On its own it does not usually cause low blood sugar.
Take it with or without food as prescribed, usually alongside diet, exercise and sometimes other diabetes medicines.
Tell your doctor about any heart failure, a history of bladder cancer or bladder problems, liver disease, or a high risk of fractures before use. Report swelling, sudden weight gain, breathlessness, or blood in the urine.
