Piclin Tablet 10 is a stimulant laxative used for the short-term treatment of occasional constipation. It works by stimulating bowel movements and helping stools pass more easily.
It contains bisacodyl, which stimulates the muscles of the large intestine and increases the amount of water in the bowel, helping soften stools and promote bowel movements.
Take this tablet whole at bedtime with a glass of water, exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the product instructions. It usually produces a bowel movement within 6 to 12 hours.
Do not crush or chew the tablet, and avoid taking it within one hour of antacids, milk, or dairy products, as these may cause the enteric coating to dissolve too early. Do not use it continuously for more than one week unless advised by your doctor.
