Ozotel-AM Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure in adults. It works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels, which helps lower blood pressure and improve blood circulation. By keeping blood pressure under control, it supports overall heart health and reduces the risk of complications such as heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular problems.

Here are the instructions on how to use Ozotel-AM Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Avoid chewing or breaking it.

• Try to take this medicine at the same time each day for best results.

• Do not adjust your dose without consulting your doctor.

• Remember, it's important not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Ozotel-AM Tablet is taken orally.

Ozotel-AM Tablet contains two active ingredients which work in tandem to manage hypertension:

• Amlodipine (5 mg): This component is a calcium channel blocker. It works by inhibiting the influx of calcium ions into certain muscles in your body - those found in your heart and your blood vessels. As a result of this action, your blood vessels relax and widen, reducing the resistance they offer to blood flow. This ultimately leads to lower blood pressure.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): This ingredient is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It selectively blocks the binding of a substance called angiotensin II to certain receptors in various tissues. Angiotensin II is a potent substance that narrows your blood vessels. By blocking its effects, telmisartan helps widen your blood vessels, thereby reducing your blood pressure. Additionally, telmisartan also hinders the release of aldosterone, a hormone that can increase blood pressure.

• Store Ozotel-AM Tablet in a dry place, shielded from light and moisture.

• Maintain an ideal room temperature of 20°C to 25°C.

• Always keep the medicine out of reach of children and pets.

• Use the tablet before its expiry date.

• Limit your intake of high-sodium foods. Reducing salt in your diet can help manage hypertension, which the Ozotel-AM Tablet helps control.

• Be cautious with potassium-rich foods or supplements. As telmisartan, a component in the Ozotel-AM Tablet, can increase blood potassium levels, it's advisable to take potassium under medical supervision only.
