Ozomet-PG2 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults when other medicines are not enough. It combines three medicines to control blood sugar and improve how the body uses insulin.
It contains glimepiride, which prompts the release of more insulin, metformin, which reduces the glucose the liver makes, and pioglitazone, which helps the body respond better to insulin.
Take it with a meal as prescribed, and do not skip meals, as this can make blood sugar fall too low. Diet and exercise remain central.
Tell your doctor about any heart failure, bladder problems or bone weakness before use, as pioglitazone can affect these. Learn the signs of low blood sugar, report ankle swelling or breathlessness, and seek urgent help for severe muscle pain or breathing difficulty, which can rarely signal lactic acidosis.
