Ozotel Tablet is used in adults to lower high blood pressure and reduce the risk of serious heart and circulation events in those at high risk.

Uses of Ozotel Tablet are:

• High Blood Pressure: Helps lower and control raised blood pressure.
• Cardiovascular Risk Reduction: Reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke in adults aged over 55 years at high cardiovascular risk.

Use Ozotel Tablet as given below:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet before swallowing.

• Try to take the medicine at the same time each day to ensure consistent blood pressure control.

• It's crucial not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Ozotel Tablet is taken orally.

Ozotel Tablet contains telmisartan (40 mg), which acts on your body in the following manner:

• Blocks Angiotensin II Binding: Telmisartan works by selectively blocking the binding of a hormone called angiotensin II to specific receptors in various tissues. This hormone usually causes blood vessels to constrict.

• Lowers Blood Pressure: By preventing angiotensin II from binding, telmisartan allows blood vessels to relax and widen. This reduces blood pressure and improves blood flow throughout your body.

• Store Ozotel Tablet at a consistent room temperature, ideally between 20°C to 25°C.

• Keep this medicine away from direct light and moisture.

• Always keep the tablets in their original packaging until you're ready to take one.

• Ensure the medicine is stored out of reach of children.

• Remember, use your Ozotel Tablet before it crosses its expiry date.

• If you've been prescribed Ozotel Tablet for hypertension, try to limit your salt intake. Consuming less salt can help manage high blood pressure levels.
