Ondero Met Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes.

Uses of Ondero Met Tablet are:

• Type 2 Diabetes: Helps control blood sugar when one medicine is not enough.

Ondero Met 2.5mg/1000mg Tablet consists of the following components:

• Linagliptin (2.5 mg): As a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, Linagliptin extends the action of natural hormones known as incretins that are released after eating. These incretins enhance insulin production from the pancreas and decrease glucagon secretion, resulting in a reduction in blood glucose levels.

• Metformin (1000 mg): This biguanide anti-diabetic medication works by reducing both basal and post-meal blood glucose levels. Metformin slows down glucose production in the liver, delays glucose absorption from the intestines, and boosts insulin sensitivity by aiding peripheral glucose uptake and utilisation. Unlike some other oral anti-diabetics, metformin rarely causes hypoglycaemia or weight gain.

• Keep Ondero Met 2.5mg/1000mg Tablet stored in its original packaging to protect it from light and moisture.

• Ideally, the storage temperature should be below 30°C.
