CompositionOndem-MD 8 Tablet is used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery. The dose depends on age, weight and treatment setting; an 8 mg tablet is not automatically suitable for every child over four years of age.
It contains ondansetron. It works by blocking serotonin, the chemical that triggers the vomiting reflex.
Allow the tablet to dissolve on the tongue as directed; it does not need water. Take it at the time recommended before treatment, and do not exceed the prescribed dose.
Tell your doctor about any heart rhythm problems (particularly QT prolongation), liver problems or other medicines before use. Seek help for chest pain, an irregular heartbeat or a severe headache.
