CompositionOmnix-200 DT Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the chest, ears, nose, throat, sinuses and urinary tract, such as bronchitis, tonsillitis, urinary infections, typhoid fever and certain sexually transmitted infections.
It contains cefixime, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by stopping bacteria building their protective cell wall, which kills them.
Take it as prescribed, and complete the full course even if you feel better early, to avoid the infection returning and to reduce antibiotic resistance.
Tell your doctor about any allergy to penicillin or cephalosporins before use. Report a rash, swelling or severe diarrhoea.
