OLMIN 40 LN TABLET 15 is used for the following:

• Management of high blood pressure in adults

• Treatment of hypertension unresponsive to single medicines

• Prevention of heart attacks and strokes

• Reducing strain on the heart

• Protection against kidney damage from high blood pressure

• Prevention of vision loss from uncontrolled hypertension

• Improvement of overall cardiovascular health

• Widening of blood vessels for better blood flow

• Long-term blood pressure control in chronic hypertension

Follow these instructions while taking OLMIN 40 LN TABLET 15:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day for best results.

• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.

• You may take this medicine with or without food.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly, even if you feel well.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

• If you feel dizzy after taking this medicine, sit or lie down until you feel better.

OLMIN 40 LN TABLET 15 is taken orally.

OLMIN 40 LN TABLET 15 contains two active ingredients that work together to lower blood pressure:

• Cilnidipine (10 mg): This component is a calcium channel blocker that works by preventing calcium ions from entering the cells of the heart and blood vessel walls. This action relaxes and widens blood vessels, decreasing peripheral vascular resistance (the resistance to blood flow in blood vessels) and reducing the workload on your heart.

• Olmesartan Medoxomil (40 mg): This is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that causes blood vessels to narrow. By preventing this effect, olmesartan helps blood vessels to relax and widen, thus lowering blood pressure and improving blood flow.

Follow these instructions while storing OLMIN 40 LN TABLET 15:

• Store OLMIN 40 LN TABLET 15 at room temperature (below 30°C).

• Keep the medicine protected from light and moisture.

• Store in the original packaging until time of use.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Reduce your salt intake in meals and avoid high-sodium processed foods, as excess sodium can worsen high blood pressure (hypertension).

• Engage in moderate physical activity like brisk walking for 30 minutes daily, which helps lower blood pressure naturally and improves the effectiveness of your blood pressure medicines.
