Olmezest 10 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure in adults and children aged six years and above, and to help reduce the risk of serious cardiovascular complications associated with long-term hypertension.

Olmezest 10 Tablet is taken orally.

Olmezest 10 Tablet contains olmesartan medoxomil (10 mg). This active ingredient works on your body in the following ways:

• Conversion to Olmesartan: Olmesartan medoxomil is a prodrug, which means it is converted in your body into the active medicine, olmesartan.

• Blockage of Angiotensin II: Olmesartan is a selective angiotensin II receptor antagonist. This means it blocks the effects of an angiotensin II hormone, which can constrict or narrow your blood vessels.

• Vessel Relaxation: Olmesartan helps relax blood vessels by blocking angiotensin II, allowing blood to flow more easily.
