CompositionOlmesar A 40 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. Controlling blood pressure helps reduce the long-term risk of heart attack, stroke, and kidney damage.
It contains olmesartan and amlodipine, two medicines that lower blood pressure in different ways. It can be taken with or without food. Take it at the same time each day as prescribed, and continue regularly even if you feel well.
Lifestyle changes help control blood pressure alongside this medicine. These include reducing salt, eating more fruit and vegetables, staying active, keeping to a healthy weight, and limiting alcohol.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, or if you take other medicines. Tell your doctor if you develop severe, ongoing diarrhoea with weight loss, which can rarely occur. It should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
