CompositionOFREX 200 Tablet 8 is a prescription fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat a wide range of susceptible bacterial infections, including infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues, and certain other bacterial infections, as prescribed by your doctor.
It contains ofloxacin, which works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes required for bacterial DNA replication and repair, thereby stopping bacterial growth and eliminating the infection.
Take this tablet exactly as directed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Avoid taking it together with antacids or supplements containing calcium, magnesium, aluminium, iron, or zinc, as these can reduce its absorption.
Complete the full prescribed course even if you feel better. Stopping treatment early may allow the infection to return and can contribute to antibiotic resistance.
