Oflomac 200 Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections of the urinary tract, chest, throat, skin and gut in adults, as well as some sexually transmitted infections.

Uses of Oflomac 200 Tablet are:

• Urinary Tract Infections: Treats bacterial infections of the bladder and kidneys.
• Chest and Throat Infections: Treats certain bacterial infections of the airways and lungs.
• Gut Infections and Typhoid: Treats some bacterial infections of the intestine, including typhoid fever.
• Sexually Transmitted Infections: Treats gonorrhoea, chlamydia and related infections.

To use Oflomac 200 Tablet correctly:

• Take as prescribed by your doctor.
• Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not chew or crush it.
• You can take it with or without food
• Take it at the same time every day.
• Take the complete course of antibiotics. Do not discontinue even if you start to feel better.

Oflomac 200 Tablet is taken orally, which means it is swallowed with water. Do not apply it topically or take it in any other way.

• The active ingredient in Oflomac 200 Tablet is ofloxacin.
• Ofloxacin inhibits the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase, which is involved in bacterial cell division and repair. This medicine thus stops the growth and multiplication of bacteria responsible for the infection.
