Ocid D Capsule 10

Ocid-D Capsule is used to manage the following conditions:

• Nausea and Vomiting

• Bloating and Stomach Fullness

• Heartburn and Acid Regurgitation

• Non-ulcer dyspepsia, a type of indigestion that have no obvious cause.

• Helicobacter Pylori Infection, a bacterial infection in the stomach linked to peptic ulcer disease.

• Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), A condition where stomach acid frequently flows back into the tube connecting your mouth and stomach, causing irritation.

• Erosive Esophagitis, A condition that causes damage to the lower part of the oesophagus, caused by stomach acid.

Follow these instructions while taking Ocid-D Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the capsule as this can harm its delayed-release formulation.

• Avoid opening the capsule. If swallowing is a problem, consult your doctor for advice.

• It's important not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Ocid-D Capsule is taken orally.

Ocid-D Capsule is made up of two active ingredients that work together to help manage gastrointestinal disorders:

• Domperidone (10 mg): This component works as a dopamine antagonist with antiemetic properties. In simple terms, it blocks dopamine receptors in an area of the brain known as the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ), helping reduce feelings of nausea and vomiting. Furthermore, domperidone enhances the movement of food through your digestive tract by increasing the tone and contractions of your oesophagus, stomach, and duodenum, which can relieve symptoms such as heartburn and indigestion.

• Omeprazole (20 mg): Omeprazole belongs to a class of medicines called proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). It works by inhibiting an enzyme system known as H+/K+-ATPase (proton pump) in certain cells in your stomach that produce gastric acid. By reducing acid production, omeprazole helps heal damage in the esophagus and stomach lining caused by excess acid, providing relief from heartburn and acid reflux symptoms.

• Keep Ocid-D Capsule in a cool, dry place where the temperature stays below 30°C.

• Shield it from direct light and moisture.

• Always store this medicine out of the reach of children.

• Make sure to use it before the expiry date printed on the pack.

• If you are consuming Ocid-D Capsule for managing heartburn or acid reflux, avoid spicy, fatty, or fried foods that can aggravate these conditions.

• Limit your intake of coffee, tea, and other caffeinated beverages as they might increase stomach acidity.
