Domperidone (30 Mg) + Pantoprazole (40 Mg)

Nupenta-DSR Capsule is used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and for promoting the healing of peptic ulcers, especially in cases where symptoms persist despite treatment with pantoprazole alone. This combination medicine works by reducing excess stomach acid and improving the stomach's emptying process.

Regular use of this capsule as prescribed helps relieve heartburn, regurgitation, and other acid-related discomforts, while promoting ulcer healing. For the best results, it is important to take the capsule as directed by your doctor.

Nupenta-DSR Capsule is used to manage acid-related disorders, including GERD, peptic ulcers, and esophagitis. By reducing the production of excess stomach acid, it relieves heartburn, chest pain, and indigestion while supporting the healing of the stomach and esophageal lining.

Swallow the whole Nupenta-DSR Capsule with a glass of water.
Do not crush or chew the capsule, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
Do not change your capsule dose or take them more often than prescribed.

Nupenta-DSR Capsule should be taken orally.

Nupenta-DSR Capsule may cause headache, diarrhea, nausea, and dryness of the mouth, along with stomach discomfort. These side effects are generally mild but should be monitored if persistent.

Management Of Side Effects:

Most of the side effects resolve on discontinuing the capsule and are temporary and, in most cases, do not require medical attention. In case any of these side effects persist or worsen contact your doctor regarding the same.

Domperidone (30 mg): It is a dopamine antagonist that helps to improve the movement of food through the digestive system. It works by blocking a specific receptor in the digestive tract, which increases the contractions of the muscles and helps food move more smoothly.
Pantoprazole (40 mg): It reduces the production of stomach acid by blocking the enzyme responsible for producing acid in the stomach. By reducing the amount of acid, pantoprazole helps to relieve symptoms such as heartburn and allows the healing of peptic ulcers.

Pregnancy

Due to the lack of controlled studies on Nupenta-DSR Capsule in pregnant women, it is not indicated in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before use.

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding women should not use Nupenta-DSR Capsule as it can pass into the nursing infant through breast milk. Consult your doctor before taking this capsule while breastfeeding.

Alcohol

Alcohol tends to increase the acid production inside the stomach. Hence, be cautious about taking alcohol with the Nupenta-DSR Capsule. Please consult your doctor before use.

Liver

Patients with liver dysfunction should cautiously take this capsule. If you have a liver problem, inform your doctor before taking the Nupenta-DSR Capsule.

Kidney

Kidney patients should not take Nupenta-DSR Capsule. It can cause more kidney damage. Consult your doctor about the risks of taking this capsule for kidney disease.

Use In Driving And Operating Machinery

You may feel dizzy and sleepy after taking the Nupenta-DSR Capsule. It's better to avoid using machines and driving if you experience these side effects after taking this capsule.

Allergy

If you are allergic to Nupenta-DSR Capsule or its constituents, Pantoprazole and Domperidone, do not take Nupenta-DSR Capsule. Please consult your doctor before use.

Children

Drug-Drug Interactions

Nupenta-DSR Capsule can interact with drugs, including:

Antifungal medications such as ketoconazole and fluconazole. This capsule may reduce the absorption of these antifungal medications, potentially reducing their effectiveness.
Antibiotics such as erythromycin. Nupenta-DSR Capsule and erythromycin can affect heart rhythm, increasing the risk of irregular heartbeats when used together.
Immunosuppressants such as methotrexate. It may elevate the blood concentration of methotrexate.
Diuretics such as furosemide. There is a risk of electrolyte imbalances when combining furosemide with this capsule, potentially affecting magnesium levels.
Antiplatelet medicine such as clopidogrel. This capsule reduces the effectiveness of clopidogrel.
Thyroid hormones such as levothyroxine. This capsule decreases the absorption of levothyroxine, reducing its effectiveness.

Nupenta-DSR Capsule can interact with diseases, including:

Hypomagnesemia: The prolonged use of Nupenta-DSR Capsule can lead to hypomagnesemia.
Liver disease: The Nupenta-DSR Capsule Capsule may worsen the disease.
Bone fractures: The long-term use of Nupenta-DSR Capsule may be associated with an increased risk for osteoporosis-related fractures of the hip, wrist, or spine.
Diarrhoea: The Nupenta-DSR Capsule may worsen the diarrhoea.
