Nodimox Plus 500 Capsule is used in adults to treat a wide range of bacterial infections affecting the respiratory tract, throat, urinary tract, skin, teeth, bones, abdomen and genital organs.

Uses of Nodimox Plus 500 Capsule are:

• Respiratory Infections: Treats infections such as pneumonia and bronchitis.

Nodimox Plus 500 Capsule 10 is composed of two active ingredients:

• Amoxicillin (250 mg): This ingredient works by binding to and inactivating enzymes called penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) within the bacterial cell. PBPs are involved in building and reshaping the bacterial cell wall. By disrupting PBPs' function, amoxicillin weakens the cell wall and causes the bacterium to break down due to an imbalance in fluid content.
• Cloxacillin (250 mg): Similar to amoxicillin, cloxacillin also inhibits PBPs, but it is resistant to being broken down by certain enzymes produced by bacteria known as beta-lactamases. Its special structure allows it to bind PBPs but makes it a poor target for beta-lactamases, which helps it maintain effectiveness against certain strains of staphylococci.
