Nistami Inhaler is used for the long-term maintenance of airflow in adults with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, helping control and prevent symptoms such as wheezing and breathlessness.

Uses of Nistami Inhaler are:

• COPD Maintenance: Supports long-term upkeep of airflow in chronic bronchitis and emphysema.
• Symptom Control: Manages and prevents wheezing, coughing, chest tightness and shortness of breath.
• Breathing Support: Helps improve day to day breathing in people with COPD.

Make sure to use Nistami Inhaler correctly as per the guidelines below:

• The capsules are meant for oral inhalation only using the provided inhaler.

• Do not swallow the capsules.

• Inhale the capsule twice a day, once each in the morning and evening.

• If any symptoms arise between doses, use an inhaled short-acting beta2-agonist for immediate relief.

• Try to take your medicine at the same time each day.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Nistami Inhaler contains two active ingredients:

• Indacaterol (110 mcg): This component is a highly selective beta2-adrenergic receptor agonist. It stimulates the beta2 receptors in your airway muscles, leading to an increase in intracellular cyclic-3',5' adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) levels. In simple terms, this causes relaxation of your bronchial smooth muscles and inhibits the release of mediators that cause immediate hypersensitivity from cells.

• Glycopyrronium (50 mcg): This component is a long-acting muscarinic receptor antagonist. It blocks the action of acetylcholine on airway smooth muscle cells. Acetylcholine is a substance released from nerves in your airways that can cause severe narrowing of the airways in COPD patients. By blocking its action, glycopyrronium helps dilate the airways and makes breathing easier.

Together, indacaterol and glycopyrronium work to relax and open up your airways, making it easier for you to breathe.
