Meva Sr Capsule 15

Meva SR Capsule is used as an antispasmodic to treat the painful symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). It relaxes the smooth muscles of the gut to relieve spastic constipation and chronic abdominal cramping.

• Take Meva SR Capsule with a glass of water.
• Swallow the capsule as a whole, do not crush or chew it.
• This medication should be taken preferably 30 minutes before meals.
• It is recommended that this capsule be taken at a fixed daily time.

Meva SR Capsule should be taken orally.

Meva SR Capsule contains the following components: 

• Mebeverine (200 mg): Mebeverine is a musculotropic antispasmodic agent. It performs its function by directly relaxing the smooth muscles in the gut, which helps relieve painful spasms. This muscle relaxation is achieved through two key mechanisms. By blocking voltage-operated calcium channels, it prevents calcium influx and smooth muscle contraction. Antagonising muscarinic acetylcholine receptors reduces cholinergic transmission and intestinal motility.

• Store Meva SR Capsule at room temperature (15-25ºC).
• Protect Meva SR Capsule from light and moisture.
• Keep it away from children and pets
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Maintain a balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
• Regular physical activity can help relieve stress and improve digestion.
• Limit intake of gas-producing foods like beans, broccoli, and cabbage, which may worsen IBS symptoms.
• Avoid food triggers, which can vary from person to person but may include dairy products, caffeine, and alcohol.
