Methimez 10 Tablet is used for managing the following conditions:

• Overactive thyroid gland, known as hyperthyroidism

• Coexisting health issues linked to an overactive thyroid

• As part of a combination therapy with other antithyroid medicines

Here are the instructions to follow while taking Methimez 10 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• The medicine can be taken with or without food.

• Do not alter the dose or stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Methimez 10 Tablet is taken orally.

Methimez 10 Tablet contains methimazole (10 mg) which acts on your body as follows:

• Inhibits Thyroid Peroxidase: Methimazole works by blocking an enzyme called thyroid peroxidase in your body. This enzyme is crucial for producing thyroid hormones.
