Maxiflo 125 Inhaler 120mdi is used for the following:

• Regular maintenance treatment of asthma

• Management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

• Control of wheezing and chest tightness

• Relief of breathing difficulties in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients

• Reduction of airway inflammation

• Long-term control of persistent asthma

• Improvement of lung function in asthma patients

• Maintenance therapy for chronic bronchitis

• Management of emphysema symptoms

Follow these instructions while using Maxiflo 125 Inhaler 120mdi:

• Remove the mouthpiece cover and check that it is clean and dry.

• Breathe out gently and fully before using the inhaler.

• Place the mouthpiece between your teeth and close your lips around it.

• While breathing in deeply and slowly, press the top of the inhaler fully.

• Hold your breath for 5 to 10 seconds, then breathe out slowly.

• Wait for at least 30 seconds before taking a second puff if required.

• Replace the mouthpiece cover after use.

• Rinse your mouth with water after using the inhaler to reduce the risk of oral thrush.

Maxiflo 125 Inhaler 120mdi is administered via oral inhalation.

Maxiflo 125 Inhaler 120mdi contains two active ingredients:

• Fluticasone Propionate (125 mcg): This synthetic corticosteroid works by binding to glucocorticoid receptors in the lungs and slowing the release of inflammatory mediators from cells like mast cells and eosinophils. This action reduces airway swelling and mucus production in the airways.

• Formoterol Fumarate (6 mcg): As a selective long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist, formoterol stimulates beta2 receptors in the lungs. This activates an enzyme called adenylyl cyclase, which increases levels of cyclic AMP (cyclic adenosine monophosphate) within cells. The increased cyclic AMP causes smooth muscle relaxation in the airways and slows the release of inflammatory substances.

• Protect from frost, direct sunlight, and heat.

• Keep the inhaler away from moisture.

• Store safely out of reach of children.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• Do not puncture the canister or dispose of it in fire, even when empty.

• Stay away from smoke, strong perfumes, and air pollution, which can trigger asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease symptoms and reduce the effectiveness of your inhaler.

• Maintain regular physical activity appropriate for your breathing capacity—activities like walking, swimming or yoga can help strengthen your respiratory muscles and improve lung function.
