Formoflo 125 Transhaler 120mdi is used for the regular maintenance treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It helps control wheezing, chest tightness, and breathing difficulties, reduces airway inflammation, and improves lung function. This inhaler is essential for managing symptoms of persistent asthma, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema.

Follow these instructions while using Formoflo 125 Transhaler 120mdi:

• Remove the mouthpiece cover and check that it is clean and dry.

• Breathe out gently and fully before using the inhaler.

• Place the mouthpiece between your teeth and close your lips around it.

• While breathing in deeply and slowly, press the top of the inhaler fully.

• Hold your breath for 5 to 10 seconds, then breathe out slowly.

• Wait for at least 30 seconds before taking a second puff if required.

• Replace the mouthpiece cover after use.

• Rinse your mouth with water after using the inhaler to reduce the risk of oral thrush.

Formoflo 125 Transhaler 120mdi contains two active ingredients:

• Fluticasone Propionate (125 mcg): This synthetic corticosteroid works by binding to glucocorticoid receptors in the lungs and slowing the release of inflammatory mediators from cells like mast cells and eosinophils. This action reduces airway swelling and mucus production in the airways.

• Formoterol Fumarate (6 mcg): As a selective long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist, formoterol stimulates beta2 receptors in the lungs. This activates an enzyme called adenylyl cyclase, which increases levels of cyclic AMP (cyclic adenosine monophosphate) within cells. The increased cyclic AMP causes smooth muscle relaxation in the airways and slows the release of inflammatory substances.
