Macfast 250 Suspension 60ml is used for managing pain and high body temperature (fever). It contains Paracetamol (250mg/5ml), which works by blocking the chemical messengers in the brain that signal pain and fever. It assists in relieving headaches, migraines, nerve pain, toothaches, sore throats, muscle pain, and discomfort during menstruation. Additionally, it supports temperature regulation in cases of fever.

• Paracetamol (250mg/5ml): Paracetamol is a widely used analgesic and antipyretic. It works by inhibiting certain enzymes in the brain that are responsible for generating pain and regulating temperature. As a result, it helps manage pain and lowers fever without irritating the stomach lining. The active ingredient plays a significant role in alleviating discomfort from headaches, muscle aches, toothaches, and fever, providing relief for both mild and moderate pain. Paracetamol is generally well tolerated when used according to recommended dosages.

• The dose for children aged 3 months to 12 years is 10-15mg per kilogram of body weight, administered 3-4 times a day or as directed by a physician. The minimum dosing interval is 4 hours. The maximum daily dose is 60mg per kilogram of body weight, divided into doses over 24 hours. 
• For reference, typical dosages based on age and weight are provided on the label: children aged 1-3 years (typically weighing 10-14kg) should receive 3-4ml; children 3-5 years (14-20kg) should receive 4-6ml; children 5-7 years (20-25kg) should receive 5-8ml; and children 9-12 years (32-45kg) should receive 10-12ml. 

• This medication should not be given for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor.
• Taking more than the recommended daily dose may cause serious liver damage or allergic reactions, such as swelling of the face, mouth, or throat, difficulty in breathing, itching, or rash.
