Losar Beta Tablet is a medicine used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. It also helps lower the risk of stroke in people with high blood pressure and left ventricular hypertrophy, a thickening of the heart's main pumping chamber, and helps manage kidney damage linked to type 2 diabetes.
It contains atenolol, a beta-blocker, and losartan, an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It is usually prescribed when a single blood pressure medicine is not enough. Take it as prescribed, with or without food, at the same time each day. Do not stop it suddenly.
Reducing salt in your diet, staying physically active, maintaining a healthy weight and limiting alcohol support better blood pressure control alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have asthma, a slow heart rate, kidney or liver problems, or are pregnant or planning pregnancy. Report marked dizziness, a very slow heartbeat, or cold hands and feet to your doctor.
