Repalol Tablet 10

Repalol Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing high blood pressure or hypertension

• Reducing the risk of stroke in individuals with high blood pressure and left ventricular hypertrophy, a condition where the left side of the heart is thicker than normal

• Protecting kidney function in high blood pressure patients who also have Type 2 diabetes and nephropathy, a type of kidney disease.

To use Repalol Tablet correctly, follow these steps:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew it.

• Never take more tablets than your doctor has prescribed.

• If your blood pressure is under control, do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Repalol Tablet is taken orally.

Repalol Tablet is a combination medicine that works in the following ways:

• Atenolol (50 mg): As a beta-blocker, it blocks beta-1 receptors in your heart, reducing the heart's workload and output. This slows down your heart rate and lessens the force of your heart contractions, which in turn decreases your blood pressure.

• Losartan (50 mg): This angiotensin II receptor antagonist blocks the receptors of a substance called angiotensin II in your blood vessels. Angiotensin II usually constricts your blood vessels, thus by blocking its receptors, Losartan allows your blood vessels to relax and widen. This reduces resistance to blood flow, effectively lowering your overall blood pressure.

• Keep your Repalol Tablet at room temperature.

• Store in a tightly closed container to protect from exposure to light and moisture.

• Always ensure Repalol Tablet is kept out of reach and sight of children.

• Use this medicine before the expiry date printed on the pack.

• Given that Repalol Tablet is used to manage hypertension, it would be beneficial for you to maintain a low-salt diet. Excessive salt can raise your blood pressure levels.

• Regular physical activity can also help manage high blood pressure. Try to include moderate-intensity exercise, like brisk walking or cycling, in your daily routine. But do remember to consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen.
