Listril Plus Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing high blood pressure

• Controlling hypertension to reduce the risk of stroke

• Lowering the chances of heart attack in patients with high blood pressure

• Reducing the risk of heart failure in individuals with hypertension

Here are some instructions on how to take Listril Plus Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. But if it's close to your next dose, skip the missed one and stick to your regular schedule.

• Never stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Listril Plus Tablet is taken orally.

Listril Plus Tablet contains two active ingredients that work together to manage high blood pressure:

• Lisinopril (5 mg): An angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. Lisinopril blocks the conversion of a substance called angiotensin I into a more potent compound known as angiotensin II. Angiotensin II is a chemical that can cause blood vessels to narrow or constrict. By preventing its formation, Lisinopril helps blood vessels to relax and widen, improving blood flow and lowering blood pressure.

• Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg): A diuretic, often referred to as a 'water pill'. Hydrochlorothiazide aids the kidneys in eliminating excess water and salt (sodium chloride) from the body. By reducing the amount of fluid in the blood vessels, it helps to lower blood pressure.

• Store your Listril Plus Tablet in its original packaging, to keep it safe from damage.

• Maintain a room temperature below 25°C.

• Keep the medicine away from direct light and moisture to maintain its efficacy.

• Always keep this medication out of reach of children for safety reasons.

• Check the expiry date before use and avoid using the tablet if it's beyond that date.

• Since Listril Plus Tablet manages hypertension, you should adopt a low-salt diet. Excessive salt can raise blood pressure levels, counteracting the effects of the medicine.

• Regular physical activity like walking, cycling, or swimming can help lower blood pressure. Try incorporating at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise into your daily routine to support the effectiveness of Listril Plus Tablet.
