CompositionLIPONORM F Tablet is used to manage high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in adults, including primary high cholesterol (hypercholesterolaemia) and mixed lipid disorders. It is a combination medicine containing rosuvastatin (a statin) and fenofibrate (a fibrate).
Together they give broader control of blood fat levels, lowering LDL cholesterol and triglycerides and raising protective HDL cholesterol. Take it with or without food, at the same time each day, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Continue it even when your cholesterol levels improve.
Choose a diet low in saturated fat, with less ghee, butter and fried snacks, add more vegetables, fruit and dal, and stay physically active.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness at once, as a statin with a fibrate raises the risk of a serious muscle problem. It is not suitable in pregnancy, and your doctor may check your liver function from time to time. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
