Atocor F Tablet is used to manage high cholesterol and triglycerides in adults when a single medicine is not enough.

Atocor F Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Atorvastatin (10 mg): This component works by inhibiting an enzyme in your liver called HMG-CoA reductase. This enzyme is crucial for producing cholesterol. By blocking this enzyme, atorvastatin reduces the amount of cholesterol that your liver can make and also increases the liver's capacity to remove LDL cholesterol from your blood.

• Fenofibrate (160 mg): This ingredient activates an enzyme known as peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα). This activation leads to an increased breakdown of triglyceride-rich particles and a decrease in certain proteins that regulate lipid production. The overall effect is a decrease in levels of triglycerides and LDL cholesterol, coupled with an increase in HDL cholesterol levels in your blood.

This dual action aids in effectively managing total cholesterol levels, reducing LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels whilst increasing HDL cholesterol levels in your blood.
