CompositionLINOWIN Tablet is used to treat severe bacterial infections that may not respond to other antibiotics. It contains linezolid, an oxazolidinone antibiotic that stops bacterial protein synthesis, and is prescribed for conditions like pneumonia and skin infections.
Linezolid works by stopping bacterial protein synthesis, which prevents bacteria from growing and multiplying, and is reserved for serious infections, including some caused by bacteria resistant to other antibiotics.
Take this tablet only as directed by your doctor, at the same times each day, with or without food, and complete the full course even if you feel better early.
Tell your doctor about all other medicines, supplements and foods you take, as linezolid can interact seriously with certain antidepressants and other medicines affecting serotonin, and with foods high in tyramine such as aged cheese and cured meats. Your doctor will monitor your blood counts if you take this medicine for more than two weeks.
