Levepsy 500 Tablet is used to treat epilepsy, including partial-onset, myoclonic and generalised tonic-clonic seizures. It contains Levetiracetam, an antiepileptic medicine, and helps prevent the sudden loss of consciousness or involuntary movements associated with seizures.
This tablet can be used alone or together with other antiepileptic medicines. Take it as prescribed, with or without food, at the same times each day. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, but do not take a double dose. Do not stop this medicine suddenly, as this may trigger seizures; your doctor will guide you on reducing the dose gradually if needed.
Getting adequate sleep and avoiding known seizure triggers, such as flashing lights or excessive alcohol, can support better seizure control alongside this medicine. Keeping a seizure diary can also help your doctor adjust treatment.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney problems, as your dose may need to be adjusted. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Report any significant changes in mood, such as increased irritability or sadness, to your doctor.
